After prayerful meetings and wonderful conversations, FCC has committed to taking on Mr. Nicholas So as our Artist in Residence.
Mr. So is a violinist and string educator in the NH area with expertise in violin, viola, and cello pedagogy. As an educator, he has taught privately at the Windham School District, Timberlane School District, Seacoast Academy of Music, and Manchester Community Music School. As a performer, he currently sits as the Assistant Concert Master with the NHPhil and has performed with many other performance groups, with some being the Portsmouth Symphony, Rockingham Choral Society, Portsmouth Pro Musica, Longwood Symphony, and Sempre Musick. Nick has received a Bachelor's of Music in Violin Performance and Bachelor's of Science in Biology from Keene State College.
An Artist in Residency involves each party giving and receiving support for growth, teaching, and program enrichment. FCC is happy to offer teaching space for Nick’s students, and our Director of Music Ministry, Janet Barry, is looking forward to working with him to provide occasional music during Services and special occasions.
We look forward to a productive and collaborative relationship with Nicholas. Welcome Nicholas!
