About the Gardens at FCC

Summer 2026

Many of you have noticed the beautiful gardens that have been carefully tendered by members and friends who kindly volunteer, but how many know the meaning behind these gardens?

The Memory Garden was created in in 2015 in memory of those who have passed. It provides a calming effect as you enter the church grounds, with muted colors and a bright pop of color with annuals in the summer.

The new garden (The Rainbow Garden) was created by Noel Villiard to celebrate new life. This garden has a kaleidoscope of colors that brings joy as you view it. In July we have the bright colors of yellow, pink and blue and as we move into August purples and lavenders continue the beauty of the garden.

These gardens require ongoing upkeep, with spring and fall demanding the most attention. Noel and Liz will welcome helping hands this fall to help split plants that need to be divided and to put the gardens to bed for the winter. The split plants will need new homes, if you have a garden needing plants, please join us when we do the fall clean up. Date to be announced.
